The ultimate drum machine, bringing together limitless possibilities of sound design and a whole world of advanced sequencing techniques. There are eight voices, which can either be one of Elektron’s many types of analog drums, a digital sample, or a combined layering of the analog and sampled sounds! Elektron’s analog “machines” can load up templates for common drums like kick drums and snares, so whether you’re a synth wizard who can dial in a drum sound from scratch or a complete novice, the RYTM MKII will be ready to pump out fat drums from day one. There are even “machines” that excel at melodic duties, especially bass.

Each voice goes through an analog filter, followed by an analog overdrive for further shaping and coloring, plus delay and reverb effects, all with an assignable LFO per voice and even external CV options for modulating parameters. The pads have been made larger and softer from the original MKI version, for maximum comfort and playability, and they also light up to show active drum channels or to display the status of things like muted channels, making it a wise choice for live performances in even the darkest of venues.
